Vitamins that Make Men More ‘Fierce’
One of the diseases most feared by men is erectile dysfunction, because it can lower self-confidence and can not satisfy your partner. There are some vitamins that can make men more ‘fierce’ and away from erectile dysfunction.
Vitamins that can make men more fierce is the vitamin niacin (B3). This vitamin is found in chicken meat, fish and grains. This discovery was published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition in which a man suffered a failure in starting or maintaining an erection until the time limit required by both partners in achieving sexual satisfaction.
Niacin helps the body process fat and reduces cholesterol. As statins are also able to overcome ED, niacin increase blood flow throughout the body by opening arteries.Increased blood flow will make erections stronger and more reliable.
In a study led by Chi-Fai Ng, MD, men who suffer from high cholesterol and ED were given niacin and placebo for 12 weeks. The result, men who received niacin better able to maintain an erection during sexual intercourse after 12 weeks, compared with men who only get the placebo.
“In addition to niacin has few side effects, especially facial flushing and skin itching, but this vitamin could be a good alternative treatment for ED men with high cholesterol,” said Chi-Fai Ng, MD, as reported by Menshealth.
But the researchers did not test this vitamin in men without high cholesterol or niacin compared with other ED drugs, like Viagra. He said more research is needed to see whether these vitamins actually work for other cases as well.
Besides taking vitamins niacin, men who have erectile dysfunction should seek immediate medical assistance should because ED may be indicative of cardiovascular disorders such as heart disease.
“Men with ED should be screened for heart problems and blood vessels by a physician before starting niacin treatment,” said Larry Lipschultz, urologists from the Baylor College of Medicine.
