bee-http://healthylifecarenews.com/Although not a serious disease, but the thrush is one of those annoying because it can be difficult to eat and speak, even more so when the non-healing mouth ulcer or severe. Now scientists have developed a bee glue to treat severe thrush.

Scientists in Britain have created a gel medication to treat a painful sores in the mouth or canker sores, using a mixture of resin and wax used to sterilize the honey bee hive.

Although the healing properties of bee glue (propolis) has been known for many years, but not many people who use it. This is because the sticky substance is not soluble in water and have strong odors.

Now researchers at the University of Bradford has found a way to purify the propolis into the drug mixture that will dissolve in water and is odorless.

This technique has led to the development of new gel for canker sores and open the door to a variety of other drugs.

“Propolis is a complex mixture of chemicals and natural products are very useful,” said study leader Professor Anant Paradkar, as reported by Dailymail, Friday (11/19/2010).

Prof. Paradkar explained that propolis has proven to be anti-microbial, anti-fungal, a powerful antioxidant, non-allergenic and can boost the immune system. This material also can accelerate wound healing and anesthetic properties.

“So far, the biggest stumbling block is the use of propolis solubility and odor problems. But the research we did have to overcome this,” continued Prof. Paradkar.

Paradkar Professor Tim has developed a new technique to purify propolis in cooperation with the manufacturers of natural medicines, Nature’s Laboratory.

Together they have created a new cold sore gel-based propolis, which can also be used as an anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anesthesia better than those already on the market. Gel is also safe to use pasa children.

“Problems in the mouth usually is the adhesion of gel to the membrane in the skin that is difficult. Due to the nature of this surface, the gel usually will ‘glide’,” explained Prof. Paradkar.

Therefore, continued Prof. Paradkar, propolis is sticky and even dissolve in water can still be used in the mouth and make it stick with the more effective.
