Ipswich, Suffolk, Inspiration can come from anywhere, including from an ‘angel’ new little 7-year-old. Knowing it’s really a brain tumor, he made his own charity to help other kids with cancer.
Mason Fountain (7 years) has just completed 20 months of chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with a brain tumor in April 2010. And since it first started treatment, ‘angels’ too little money has accumulated thousands of pounds which will be donated to other children who also had cancer.
Mason’s Magic is a new charity that Mason founded his own to raise funds for children who also seemed to feel the suffering of cancer. He decided to help other children after being given the opportunity to meet her idol pop singer N-Dubz and a visit to Disneyland Paris.
“My mother was overwhelmed by the amount of support we have received only a matter of weeks,” explains Mason Fountain, who came from Ipswich, Suffolk, as reported by Dailymail.
Primary school pupils have been able to gather 3000 followers on Twitter since joining on Wednesday.
Supporters even from celebrities such as Kym Marsh, Clare Nasir, Dani Harmer, and Kirk and Mick Norcross.
“I can not believe this. I never thought it would be able to collect this very quickly. Mason is very excited. My phone does not stop ringing. This is all to reduce my time to cry (because Mason disease),” explains Shelley Fountain (27 years) , mother of Mason.
Next month the details of this charity will come out at the committee meeting and Mason’s Magic will be officially launched.
The charity was founded under the umbrella of the UK Brain tumor, the leading organization that provides support, funding research and raising awareness for all people affected by brain tumors.
For Mason, the end is just the beginning of chemotherapy treatment of advanced stage disease. Within 2 weeks of this, Mason and his family will get a scan to check the progress of the tumor.
“Mason did very well, she feels good in itself. I do not want him to face chemo again,” added Shelley.
