London, Toilet is a place where people throw dirt, ie urine and feces. Approximately 2.6 billion people lack access around the world for good health such as clean toilets. As a result, diseases caused by poor sanitation such as cholera continue to appear.

In a study published by the Public Library of Science (PLoS) Medicine journal, researchers found than 2.6 billion people without access to improved sanitation around two-thirds live in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. (more…)

Cholera (also called Asiatic cholera) is an infectious disease in the digestive tract caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. These bacteria usually enters the body through drinking water contaminated by improper sanitation or by eating fish that are not properly cooked, especially shellfish. Symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, and dehydration. (more…)
