Doing more than one task at a time (multitasking) can sometimes be detrimental to the brain. But certain jobs require someone to do multitasking. What job is it?

A research shows that multitasking can be bad for the brain. This is because the brain can not run properly when doing multiple tasks are complex. This condition makes one of the activities should be disrupted or become ineffective.

One important aspect of the work of multitasking is most tasks related to each other so that there are similarities in the patterns of doing it that makes a person more easily do so.

Here is some work that requires a person can do it by multitasking, as quoted from AskMen and Lovetoknow ,namely:

Secretary
This work is a world-class multitasker, because it performs many tasks at the same time as answering the phone, met with guests, responding to email, schedule meetings, make reports, arrange travel and other tasks.

Customer service
This job requires a person answers the phone while entering data into computer systems, such as price checks, verification of shipping costs, taxes and other necessary details.

Nurse
Tasks that are centered on patient care and involves the recording of accurate and constant, such as checking vital signs, noting the patient’s symptoms, medication and emotional support for patients and families.

Receptionist
Receptionist job from the outside looks easy, but this job is multitasking as secretary.Communication is the biggest challenge for the front desk every day and dealing with a wide range of visitors and demand for jobs. This work can make people very stressful, especially on holidays.

Phone operator
This job requires someone to do several tasks at once such as receiving a phone and typing data obtained from the caller. Coordination between the brain and the hand is very instrumental in this work.

Other Works
Another job that requires multitasking skills including bank tellers, bartenders, cooks, supervisors, team leaders or project managers, computer programmers, traffic controllers and HRD officers.
