Marijuana Smoker

Ontario, Canada, Schizophrenia is a medical language for mental disorder which many people called crazyHallucinations, paranoia and as if talking to the other party is the one characteristic Schizophrenia. Researchers found smoking cannabis users in the long term risk of contact with Schizophrenia.

Cannabis is the illicit substance most frequently abused and often used by smoked like a cigarette. While paranoia is one of the side effects of the most unpleasant of marijuana.

Steven Laviolette of research conducted at the University of Western Ontario, Canada showed that brain activity in the basolateral amygdala is involved in the influence of cannabis on paranoia.

This means that marijuana actually increases the fear that causes the brain to jump on the particular experiences associated with fear. As reported by the Epharmapedia, the results of this study have been published in the Journal of Neuroscience.

Interestingly, the researchers also found marijuana also can prevent the fear.Mechanism of action of drugs like marijuana is by disabling activities in a region called the prefrontal cortex prior to expose it to shock.

The prefrontal cortex is the brain’s higher levels and is an area involved in executive functions such as planning, decision making, response, control, and impulse.

The researchers showed that both brain regions studied is an area involved in the pathology of schizophrenia. And that understanding of the interconnection area can lead to better treatments for this disorder.

“We know there are abnormalities in both the amygdala and prefrontal cortex in patients who have schizophrenia, and we now know the regions of the brain the same time very important for the effects of cannabis and other cannabinoid drugs on emotional processing,” said Laviolette.

The study was conducted on laboratory rats. When rats were given a drug that can enhance the activity of cannabinoid receptors, even when it receives a small surprise was enough to cause the rats fell silent.

The mice were transfixed with fear and then affected by cage design and related scents.Without the administration of drugs such as marijuana, a small shock will not have the same effect.
