Sarah suffered swollen hands like claws, so he was taken to South Tyneside District Hospital. In hospital he underwent tests, but eventually moved to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary where doctors initially thought he was suffering from an allergy thing.
Families also should prepare a diary to discover what makes a face and hands swollen and painful. Until the doctors finally diagnosed her with EPP and conditions shall continue to be protected from sunlight.
“We have to give him protection as a whole, including the dark windshield so she could travel safely, because we know how miserable he is when exposed to sunlight,” says Gillian.
Conditions experienced by Sarah influenced by genetic factors, is estimated to Gillian and her husband Brian have the faulty gene into the genetic and Sarah but did not affect the condition of the other children.
EPP is a very painful condition and is caused by a deficiency of the enzyme ferrochelatase. These conditions cause unbearable itching, swelling, mostly attacking the arms, legs and face. If the body can cause very serious loss of skin layers.
The main treatment for this condition is to prevent it from sunlight to provide comprehensive protection. This is because the light that strikes people with EPP mathari can cause nerve damage in people with muscle weakness triggered.
