A man who lived in the Changsha area of south-central China is reported to have died after staying up for 11 consecutive nights to watch Euro 2012 matches. 26-year-old man was found dead by his mother after watching the Ireland-Italy (2-0) on June 18, 2012.
The time difference between Europe and China makes most of Euro 2012 match started at 2:45 this morning local time and finished when it was already dawn.
A friend revealed that these men have never missed a game, although at first he had a pretty good health. But his spirits began to decline over time as they may feel tired stayed up late every night.
“He was in good health, but staying up all night and sleep deprivation weakens the immune system,” said Liu Zhiling, a doctor from the People’s Hospital ER, as quoted by the Telegraph.
