Men with longer ring finger than index finger even has the potential to become rich. Comparison of the length between the index finger and ring finger associated with hormonal condition while in the womb and will certainly affect one’s personality while growing up.

Research at Concordia University found that testosterone levels may affect the ratio of finger length, both in women and men. However, personality traits can only be obtained directly from male fingers.

The results showed that men with longer ring finger than index finger higher testosterone levels than men with longer index finger.

This is because high testosterone conditions in pre-natal (before birth) do not only affect fetal brain development, but also slow the growth of the index finger relative to the other four fingers except the thumb. And high testosterone levels would make men tend to possess more willing to take risks in making decisions.

“Our results suggest a link between high testosterone and take risks in three areas, namely recreation, social and financial,” said Eric Stenström from Concordia University, Canada, the Telegraph reported on Tuesday (16/11/2010).

Recreation bravery shown among others by choosing the type of challenging sports, social courage with a broad relationship, while the financial courage is most noticeable when playing stocks.

According Stenström, previous studies also have linked between high testosterone levels with risk behaviors and financial success.

“People with high testosterone would dare to take risks, especially in playing the stock, so that more potential to become rich in the future. In addition, people with character like this also liked it a lot,” explained lead researcher, Professor Gad Saad.
