Description

Lamotrigine is used alone or in combination with other drugs to prevent and control seizures. It can also be used to help prevent extreme mood swings of bipolar disorder in adults. Lamotrigine is known as an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drugs. It works by restoring the balance of certain natural substances in the brain.

Indication

This medicine is used to prevent and control seizures as in epilepsy.

Doses

Lamotrigine orally with or without food as directed by your doctor. Dosage is based on a medical condition, response to treatment, and the use of other drugs. For children, dosage is also based on weight. Dose will be increased slowly by your doctor. It’s important to follow dosing instructions exactly. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when suddenly stop this drug menonsumsi. Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve or gets worse.
