Rabeprazole is used to treat certain problems in the stomach and esophagus such as duodenal ulcers and GERD.

Rabeprazole belongs to the type of proton pump inhibitor drug (PPI) that the way it works is to reduce the amount of stomach acid produced. Drug available by prescription only is the form of tablets.

Indication
1. Relieve symptoms such as nausea, difficulty swallowing and a persistent cough
2. Treating duodenal ulcers
3. Treating duodenal ulcer with Helicobacter pylori bacterial infection
4. Treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
5. Treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition where the stomach produces too much acid

Dose
Follow your doctor’s instructions or marked on the label. When drunk, the tablets should be swallowed whole, not be crushed, chewed or split.

- To treat duodenal ulcer: 20 mg once daily after breakfast
- To treat duodenal ulcer with Helicobacter pylori bacterial infection: the same as eating 20 milligrams twice a day. Usually taken with antibiotics such as clarithromycin and amoxicillin
- To treat GERD: 20 mg once daily
- To treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: 60 milligrams once a day

We have more and more people are affected by a stroke at a young age. But there are easy ways to reduce the risk of stroke that is out to get sunlight and the consumption of foods rich in vitamin D such as fish.

These results are based on the conclusion of a 34-year study involving 7,500 peoplemiddle-aged and elderly Japanese-Americans living in one place. Researchers measured vitamin D levels of the participants obtained either from food or sunlight.

Dr. Kojima in the journal Stroke from the American Heart Association recommend that a person should get enough sunlight and vitamin D intake from nuts and fish.
