Talk whispering is fine as in certain circumstances when a meeting or watching movies. But if the condition is normal, talk normal because often whispering can actually interfere with the vocal cords. Speak softly whispers or just give a heavier pressure on the vocal cords than normal speech, which causes a more severe trauma to the larynx. Thus most of the otolaryngologist (ENT surgeon specialized) advises the public not to get too often in a whisper. Normal larynx or voice box is called the organ of the neck of mammals including humans which serve to protect the trachea and is involved in voice production. In the larynx there is also the vocal cords. Singer for example, need vocal rest, one of which is to avoid talking whispers. This is known as two-thirds of participants from a study experienced a greater burden on his vocal cords when a whisper instead of talking normally. In 2006 Dr Robert T Sataloff, chairman of the ENT department of Drexel University College of Medicine conduct research involving 100 participants to find out whether the correct answer in a whisper that could damage the larynx. In this study, researchers examined the vocal cords as well as fiber optics from the participants. To find participants were asked to say a number from 1 to 10, the first with a normal voice and whispered. Based on the results of this research note are 69 participants experienced additional burden on his vocal cords when speaking in a way in a whisper. While 18 others showed no difference and 13 other people whisper it easier to talk than normal. This will generate its own concerns about his voice and can cause damage to the vocal cords. Therefore, Dr. Sataloff advised people to avoid talking or whispering very softly, this is to avoid damage to the larynx due to excessive pressure on his vocal cords.
