10 Experienced Baby Reflex

Reflex that appears usually as a sign of transition to help him stay alive and learn what they need to survive. There are 10 experienced by the baby’s reflexes, namely:

1. Moro reflex / startle (surprised)
When a baby is startled by loud sounds or sudden fell a few centimeters, then the baby will show reflexively dilate hands and fingers. Then his arm will fall back and clenched his fingers. This reflex will appear at the age of 2 months and disappeared after 4 months of age.

2. Tonic neck reflex
When the baby’s head turned to the opposite side, then the baby will extend his arms and legs to that side and stretch the arms and legs to the opposite side as the position fencer.

3. Reflex stepping (walking)
When his body was established on a flat surface like the floor, then his legs will move forward and set foot on the floor. These reflexes will disappear after 2-3 month old baby.

4. Placing reflex
This reflex is similar to stepping reflex. When a baby is placed on the edge of the table, then he will try to step into the table. Generally, these reflexes will disappear after age 2 months.

5. Grasping reflex (grasping hand)
When an object like a pencil or a finger is placed in the palm of her baby’s hands, then he would hold tight and his strength will increase when the object is pulled out.This reflex will disappear when the baby was 5 months.

6. Reflex babinski
If the baby’s foot stroked or touched from the heel to the fingers, the toes would swell and the thumb has a higher position. These reflexes will disappear after the baby is 6 months old.

7. Rooting reflex
If the baby’s cheek is touched, it will rotate the head is facing the arrival of the stimulus and opened his mouth as if to find his mother’s nipple. These reflexes will disappear after the baby is 3-4 months old.

8. Sucking reflex (sucks)
If you put a finger or object into the baby’s mouth, then he will respond to suck and making rhythmic movements with the mouth and tongue. This reflex will appear when the baby is 2 months old.

9. Reflex swimming (swimming)
If you put the baby in the water, then he will move his arms and legs while holding his breath as if she were swimming. This reflex will usually appear before the baby is 6 months old.

10. Pupillary reflex
Infant pupils will be narrowed when there is bright light and when going to sleep, but will be enlarged if the light is dim and when i wake up. In addition, the baby also will close his eyes when there’s glare and wind gusts.
